BB's Feast is a fun, family-friendly endless runner game where you help BB the dog collect treats while pedaling on your indoor cycling trainer. We built this game with **privacy first** — we don't collect, store, or share any of your personal information. This privacy policy explains exactly what data we use, how we use it, and why you can play with peace of mind.
## The Simple Version
**What BB's Feast Does:**

- ✅ Reads your pedaling power to control BB in the game
- ✅ Saves your high scores locally on your device

**What BB's Feast Does NOT Do:**

- ❌ Does not track your location or store GPS data
- ❌ Does not upload your workout data anywhere
- ❌ Does not use analytics or tracking services
- ❌ Does not share data with third parties
- ❌ Does not show ads or use ad networks
## What Information We Collect (Spoiler: Almost Nothing!)

BB's Feast is designed to respect your privacy completely. We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- **No personal information** - We don't ask for your name, email, age, or any identifying information
- **No account creation** - You don't need to sign up or log in
- **No location tracking** - Your location is not recorded or stored
- **No workout data uploads** - Your cycling data stays on your device
- **No usage analytics** - We don't track how you use the app
- **No device information** - We don't collect information about your phone
- **No contact lists** - We never access your contacts
- **No photos or camera** - We don't access your media or camera
- **No microphone** - We don't listen to or record audio
### Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The only data BB's Feast uses is stored directly on your iPhone or iPad and never leaves your device:
**Game Progress Data (Local Only):**
- Your high scores and best distances
- Game settings and preferences
- Audio settings (music/sound effects on/off)
- Whether you've completed the permission setup
**Bluetooth Connection Data (Temporary Only):**
- While playing, the app receives power data from your cycling trainer via Bluetooth
- This data is used in real-time to control BB's speed and abilities
- No workout data is saved, logged, or stored
- Connection data is cleared when you close the game
All of this information is stored in your device's local storage using standard iOS/iPadOS secure storage mechanisms. It never leaves your device.
## How We Use Permissions
BB's Feast requests two permissions to function. Here's exactly what each permission is used for:
### Bluetooth Permission
**Why we need it:** To connect to your Bluetooth-enabled cycling trainer (smart bike or indoor trainer).
**What we do with it:**
- Scan for nearby Bluetooth trainers
- Connect to your selected trainer
- Read power output (watts) while you pedal
- Use this power data to control BB's speed and jumping in the game
**What we DON'T do:**
- We don't store or log any Bluetooth data
- We don't connect to any devices other than cycling trainers
- We don't transmit this data anywhere
- The connection is only active while you're playing
**Technical details:** BB's Feast uses the standard Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol to communicate with FTMS-compatible trainers. All data processing happens locally on your device in real-time.
### Location Permission (iOS Requirement)
**Why iOS requires it:** Apple requires location permission for all apps that use Bluetooth scanning, even though BB's Feast doesn't actually use your location.
**What we do with it:**
- **Nothing.** We request this permission only because iOS requires it for Bluetooth scanning.
- We do not access, read, record, or use your location in any way.
- We do not track where you ride or where you are located.
**Why this matters:** This is a technical requirement of iOS, not something we need for the game. Your location data is never accessed by BB's Feast.
## Data Storage and Security
### Local Storage Only
All game data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage:
- **Encrypted Storage:** iOS automatically encrypts data stored by apps
- **Device-Only Access:** No data is synced to the cloud or other devices
- **App Sandbox:** iOS keeps BB's Feast data separate from other apps
- **Secure Deletion:** When you delete the app, all data is permanently removed
### No Cloud Storage or Servers
BB's Feast does not:
- Upload data to servers
- Use cloud storage services
- Sync data across devices
- Send data over the internet
The game works completely offline (except for the initial download from the App Store).
### Bluetooth Connection Security
When connected to your trainer:
- Bluetooth connections are encrypted by the Bluetooth protocol itself
- Data is transmitted directly between your device and trainer
- No data passes through external servers
- Connection is local and temporary
## Third-Party Services
BB's Feast does **not** use any third-party services, including:
- **No Analytics Services** - We don't use Google Analytics, Firebase, or similar tools
- **No Advertising Networks** - The game is ad-free and doesn't use ad SDKs
- **No Social Media Integration** - No Facebook SDK, no social sharing
- **No Crash Reporting Services** - We don't use external crash analytics
- **No In-App Purchase Tracking** - No tracking of any kind
This means no third-party company has any access to any data from BB's Feast.

BB's Feast is designed to be **family-friendly** and safe for users of all ages, including children.

Want a fresh start or just want to remove all traces of BB's Feast? Here's how
**Complete Deletion:**
1. Delete the BB's Feast app from your device
2. All game data, scores, and settings are permanently deleted
3. Nothing remains on any server (because we don't use servers!)
**Reset High Scores Only:**
Currently, the game doesn't have a built-in reset function. To reset your progress, you'll need to delete and reinstall the app
### Managing Permissions
You can revoke permissions at any time through iOS Settings
Open **Settings** on your device
Scroll to **BB's Feast**
Toggle **Bluetooth** or **Location** permissions off
Note: The game requires these permissions to connect to your trainer. If you disable them, you won't be able to play (but your existing game data will remain).
## Data Retention
### How Long We Keep Data
- **Local game data:** Stored on your device until you delete the app
- **Bluetooth connection data:** Cleared immediately when you exit the game
- **No server data:** We don't have servers, so there's no data to retain
### Automatic Data Deletion
Your data is automatically deleted when:
- You delete the BB's Feast app from your device
- You reset your device to factory settings
- iOS clears app data (if storage is critically low)
## Changes to This Privacy Policy

How the Game Works Technically
For those interested in the technical implementation:
